Crackin' Open a Cold One: Eat Your Vitamins

How many times in your life have you been told to “take your vitamins”?

It’s for good reason, of course; Vitamins play a crucial role in maintaining good health. No matter how annoying it may have been growing up, we listened, and made sure to jam pack every can with the vitamins needed.

Among these vitamins, we specifically focused on vitamin C, B-vitamins, and vitamin D. Let’s talk about why we chose them and what they have to offer.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is found in many fruits and vegetables, including oranges, strawberries, kiwi fruit, bell peppers, and broccoli.

Studies show that one of the primary benefits of vitamin C is that it is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage caused by free radicals in your body. Free radicals can damage cells and contribute to the development of chronic diseases, such as cancer and heart disease.

Vitamin C is also important for immune system function. It helps to stimulate the production of white blood cells, which are the cells that help fight off infections and disease. Vitamin C also helps to promote the production of collagen, which is a protein that is essential for healthy skin, bones, and cartilage. As we like to say – look good, feel good – and with vitamin C, both of these are possible.

B-Vitamins

B-vitamins are a group of vitamins that include thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), biotin (B7), folate (B9), and cobalamin (B12). These vitamins also play a critical role in maintaining good health and are involved in many important bodily functions.

According to studies, one of the primary benefits of B-vitamins is that they help convert food into energy. They are involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, which are the macronutrients that provide the body with energy. B-vitamins also help to support healthy brain function, promote healthy skin and hair, and maintain a healthy nervous system.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is found in some foods, such as fatty fish and egg yolks, but is primarily obtained through exposure to sunlight. It is a critical nutrient that plays an important role in making sure your body is operating at its best.

Studies show one of the primary benefits of vitamin D is that it helps the body absorb calcium, which is essential for healthy bones and teeth. Vitamin D also helps to regulate the immune system, which is the body's defense against infections and diseases. It may also help to reduce the risk of developing certain cancers, such as breast, prostate, and colon cancer.

The importance of proper vitamin D intake is often overlooked. In addition to its numerous health benefits, vitamin D deficiency is also common, especially in people who live in areas with little sunlight or who have limited sun exposure.

We know a thing or two about limited sun exposure with these harsh Wisconsin winters, so this should help get us through those seemingly eternal cold months.

Don’t just take our (or your parents’) word for it… Crack open a Vyper Energy and unlock the potential of this trio of super vitamins.
